The Federal University of Juiz de Fora is a public university headquartered in the municipality of Juiz de Fora, M.G., a scientific and cultural center in a region of more than three million inhabitants. UFJF is ranked among the best universities in Latin America, with national and international recognition. It currently has 93 undergraduate courses, 36 masters, and 17 doctoral degrees in all areas of knowledge. More than 20 thousand students circulate on the UFJF campus daily. The Cine-Theatro Central (CTC) is the most important venue in the region and one of the best in Brazil. The CTC was opened in 1929 and has been administered by UFJF for 25 years. It has more than 1700 seats, and it features the most important musical, theater, and dance shows in the country. Its building is listed by the national and municipal historical heritage and inside, a beautiful space for contemplation, and there are paintings by the Italian artist Angelo Bigi.”
